DHL to Build Dedicated Healthcare Logistics Hub at Singapore’s Changi Airport

DHL TO BUILD DEDICATED HEALTHCARE LOGISTICS HUB AT SINGAPORE'S CHANGI AIRPORT

DHL Global Forwarding is constructing a dedicated healthcare logistics facility at Singapore's Changi Airport called the DHL Singapore Coldchain Hub. Located within Changi Nexus One at the Changi Airfreight Centre, the hub is scheduled to open by the end of 2027 and will handle healthcare shipments requiring controlled temperature environments. The facility will add 3,047 square meters of warehousing space to the existing 8,000 square meters already operational at Changi Nexus One, with construction expected to begin shortly.

The hub reflects Singapore's expanding role as a regional logistics anchor, particularly for temperature-sensitive medical goods. The facility will feature GDP-qualified cold rooms and real-time temperature monitoring systems designed to maintain the integrity of healthcare shipments throughout the supply chain. These capabilities address a growing market demand for reliable, controlled-environment transport of pharmaceutical and healthcare products across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Healthcare organizations and pharmaceutical companies requiring secure transportation of temperature-sensitive goods stand to benefit directly from the new facility's operational capacity and monitoring standards. DHL Global Forwarding and Changi Airport Group will expand their commercial presence in the specialized logistics segment, driving incremental revenue from healthcare and pharmaceutical sector activity.
